Customized estate planning for individuals and families who seek experienced guidance that integrates estate planning, tax, and retirement planning into a personalized long-term strategy.
Estate planning is not just about documents. It is about making informed decisions, clarifying your wishes, minimizing tax exposure, and putting a plan in place that reflects your goals, your values, and the people who matter most.

I’m Colleen Carcone, founder of Carcone Law, PLLC. I draw on more than two decades of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families to help my clients create thoughtful, customized estate plans that address complex family, financial, and tax considerations.
I am admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and hold the CFP® and AEP® designations.

I bring a rare combination of technical depth, practical planning insight, and years of hands-on experience. I have spent more than 25 years career advising on estate, tax, retirement, charitable, and wealth transfer planning, which helps me think beyond the documents and focus on how the plan should work in real life.
I also bring the perspective of an educator, author, and am a recognized authority in this field. My teaching has included CFP® programs, master’s programs, and law school programs, and my co-authorship of Principles of Estate Planning published by National Underwriter reflects the depth of my experience. I am frequently quoted in the media as an expert on estate, tax, and retirement planning.

My goal is to ensure that you understand the decisions that you are making and how each part of your estate plan works together. I explain complex legal concepts in plain English so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
I also understand that estate planning works best when it is coordinated across your advisory team. I work with accountants, financial advisors, insurance professionals, and other trusted advisors to help ensure your estate plan is coordinated, consistent, and aligned with your broader financial goals.
READY TO START THE CONVERSATION?
A strong estate plan does more than transfer assets. It can create peace of mind, protect the people you love, minimize tax exposure, and provide a thoughtful structure for how your wishes will be carried out. That includes not only planning to reduce potential estate tax, but also planning with an eye toward income tax efficiency so that your heirs receive maximum assets in the most effective way possible.
For most people, legacy planning is deeply personal. It ensures that loved ones are cared for, assets pass in a way that reflects your values and intentions, and that retirement accounts and charitable gifts are coordinated thoughtfully within the broader plan. Done well, it helps support both the people you love and the causes that matter to you.

If you have been thinking about putting a plan in place, Carcone Law is here to help. The first step is a conversation about your goals, your family, and the kind of planning that makes sense for you.
